Remove the battery cables. Negative first, then positive. Cover them with a rag or paper towel to prevent any contact with other metal, tools, etc.

Use a 5/16" wrench or socket to remove this bolt that holds the battery in place.

Replacing the parking light bulb in an Excursion or SuperDuty can be confusing if you don't know what you're looking for. Simply unscrew the two Phillips screws (below the parking lamp). Next, pull out (towards the front of the vehicle) on the left...
