I had my roof racks off since the begining of 06, I was digging through some old stuff and I found my roof racks. I just wanted to show you the rubbing markings left under the racks.

See the white markings. this is where the roof racks were touching the roof of the Excursion

This is why alot of Excursion owners remove their roof racks. And to let new Excursion owners about the racks rubbing the roof.

The roof racks did have a rubber pad under the roof racks but as you can see, it was collecting dust and that dust can scratch the roof of the Excursions.

What was ford thinking... But hey, my Excursion looks alot smoother now
