Work and play -- the Bronco next to a spillbox I designed in '03, recently completed.

A few quick shots of how the new exhaust was routed (end of 04). This was a practice project on welding exhaust. Total cost of exhaust from stem to stern, counting headers: $280. It's not fancy, but it works well for the price, and it's very well tucked up and out of the way. When the transfer case skid is on, it does a nice job of protecting the muffler where it hangs low.

Don't mind the mud. This was right after another work trip out to Craney Island, the location of the spillbox pictured above. The small Catco catalytic is tucked up above the transmission crossmember out of harms way.

Overall I'm very happy with how high and tight I was able to keep the exhaust tucked. No comments on the ugly welds in the foreground on the fabricated Y pipe -- that was the first part of the project I tackled, and I got good at filling holes in exhaust pipe. Welds were *much* cleaner by the time the project was done. Moisture on the front diff was from a power steering pressure line that was beginning to leak.
