These four pictures were out of a roll I took on an afternoon road trip in the summer of 04. I had just gotten the transmission back in the Bronco, and decided to head down to Kitty Hawk on a lark. I grabbed my camera and stopped to pick up a couple rolls of Tri-X, since I hadn't shot black and white in years and I felt like playing.
This shot is of Chesapeake & Albemarle's two GP38's northbound near Moyock. There was a good steady rain, and I shot this out the right window of the Bronco with a 200mm telephoto, then threw it in reverse to get back to a more comfortable distance from the crossing.

This girl lives at First Flight Motorcycles in Powells Point, NC, right beside 158 on the way down. I couldn't resist stopping for a few photos and checking out the shop. She was apparently a Saudi escort bike, hence the lights and the sanskrit. According to the owner of the shop, she came to the US in about a dozen crates.

Bronze statue at the Wright Brothers memorial. I got a few fun shots of this one.

I think the memorial probably speaks for itself.
Wow.
