My 09' P71 now has 97K on her. I hear, change to trans oil at 120K. For engine oil, I've changed it, using Kendall synthetic blend engine oil. But what about, when to change the spark plugs? Should I wait till it doesn't pass smog. Right now, she run's tip top. |

Even though Ford does say to replace the spark plugs at 100K miles, I would replace the spark plugs at 50K miles. They are cheaper in the long run doing it this way to ensure that you get maximum spark. The older a spark plug gets, the weaker the spark gets, causing lower mileage and higher emissions.

Hey thanks for the good feedback. I remember you from last time. In which you also replied to my coolant question I posted a while back. I think you're right about replacing the plugs. When she hits a 100k. I will replace them. Unsure if I could do this myself. I was ASE certified. Back in college. Hey thanks again jdmeaux. |
