My family has two 1997 F-150s, one of which needs a new engine and has only 39,800 miles on it. From my research this appears to be an epidemic among 1997 F-150 owners. I called a local news channel in my area and they gave me the number of the National Highway Auto Safety Hotline--1-800-424-9393. Their address is 400 7th Street S.W., Washington, D.C. 20590. They take complaints and can help facilitate a recall. This line is ran by the Department of Transportation and Development. If we can get enough people to complain, maybe they will see a need to do something. Please join me if you are a victim, perhaps we will come out victors instead.

If this is the 4.2L V6 engine, get in line, as there are thousands in front of you who have these turd engines blowing up....
