Does anyone know how to fix the Driver side Seatbelt retractor. I think the lubricant is dry. I could use some experienced Mustang owner's input on how to get to the seat belt retractor without wrecking my interior side pannel. I'm interested in doing it correctly without a lot of hassle. Please post any advice or comments about seat belt retractors.

Could be your spring is broke. I replaced mine on a 94 Cobra by going to the junk yard and getting one for a couple bucks.

Be patient taking your side panel off. I cracked mine about 2 inches by the rear window because I thought I could stretch it that far. My plastic was pretty brittle though. I don't know of a no-hassle way of doing it.

Anyone else?
