does someone have an answer? I rolled down the tailgate window, and now it wont work at all; I have it apart, and checked the motor, and it works, the key switch has power to it, but don't work, the dash switch don't do it, and the tailgate is shut good when I tried it. I don't know what else to do! The fuses are good too. What now? NEVER MIND!! I found the problem. It was the safty latch switch; I pulled the plug and put a jumper, and it worked.

I did the same thing on my brother's 96. Be careful tho, because now you can roll the window up with the tailgate down!
