I have the California glowplug controller on my 7.3 and its bad and expensive.
has anyone replaced one with the other 49 state simple solenoid? and if so, what\\'s it entail.

They are less prone for failure than the normal GPR. I would actualy like to swap out the two regular ones in the F250 and F350 for the module in my X.

My cost on the Ford parts though are much lower than a guy off the street buying them. Know a guy who's a Ford parts director who basicly gives me the best possible price on parts. As an example had an alignment done and they quoted $630 for parts. Gave my friend the parts list and he got them for me at $360.
