I am in the process of fixing a 94 Crown Victoria ex-detectives car. The last thing it needs is the shift cable needs to be adjusted. The pointer isn't even close to showing the gear and the trans doesn't "clunk" into gear so I can't tell that way either. How do I go about fixing this problem??

Sorry to be short w/the info....but it's a quick solution....

Do a search on TV cable adjustments....You should get many pointers.
One forum even has a hugh warning about TV cables on Ford products
burning/killing the OverDrive because of the wrong settings for the cable....

Someone else might have the exact location...hang in there....
BUT be very careful NOT TO DRIVE the vehicle over 40 MPH if you want to save
the transmission....!!!!
