Hi i got a 98 crown vic and i just changed the tranny and the pmc fuse keeps blowing could it be the ground wire hooked to the tranny. I had a hard time getting the wire off when switching the tranny. the wire broke so i put a new end on it to hook on the tranny. could this be the problem.

You may have either the wires reversed (it does happen) or the sender wire is grounded. Recheck the wiring carefully.
