BOUGHT MY SON A 1998 CROWN VIC P71. TURNED OUT TO HAVE BENT VALVES AMONG OTHER THINGS. AFTER MESSING WITH IT FOR SOME TIME WE DECIDED TO INSTALL A 2002 4.6 MUSTANG GT MOTOR IN IT. DROPPED IT OFF SATURDAY MOURNING. GOING TO MOD THIS VIC OUT.

may i suggest just putting pi heads,cams,intake (99 up) onto your 98 block..it will increase horsepower and bump compression to 10.27:1..worked real good on my 98..with 3.73 gears..
