engine-003.jpg This is the new carb showing the anti-stall dashpot before I adjusted it correctly. It was never done by North Coast Rest. when they put the carb on.

The numbers stamped on the side of the carb next to the dashpot reveal the carb's CFM. The original Autolite 2100 2 barrel, C9AF J [A 9B 19] is a 354 CFM carb. Marked 1.23 (size of venturi) That carburetor is currently on the shelf and rebuilt. The one on the car now is from Amazon; an "Autoline" 2 barrel with 290 CFM marked 1.08 (size of venturi). It seems to be giving me good mileage though... The size of the original would be the equivalent of a 700 CFM 4bbl, and the one currently on the car is equivalent to a 580 CFM 4bbl carb. Theoretically speaking, that is. Of course there are no secondaries. But for 90% of the driving I do, they would not be opened anyway.

The engine's 460 pd-ft of torque launch this car off the line like Billy-O!!
