Hey there, I have couple questions maybe someone can answer? Heres the deal I have a 1990 HO 5 liter thats presently set up to run carb(long story)! Anyways I want to change back to EFI but can't find any decant HO donors at the local wreckers for the wirring harness/sensors/ECM and distrubtor! But there sure are a lot of Vics and G/M's with non-HOs. QUESTION I was hoping to use the sensors/ harness plus upper/lower intakes off one of these scrappers!!? However, I noticed the TIMING STICKER on the scrapped Vic is NOT the same as my (carbed) 1990 stang HO which is (1-3-7-2-6-5-4- and the Viccy had something like (1-3--------7-. So that means that distrubtors and ECM and .etc is not interchangable between 5.0 and 5.0 HO due to difference in firring orders right??

Any suggestions would be helpful thanks.

Check out the web site "stangparts.com". This is a Mustang only salvage yard in N. Georgia. They have engines, trannies, rear ends, all kinds of body parts and probably have wiring harnesses. You can buy a complete 5.0 with EFI for $500 to $750 and it might be less expensive for you to take this route. Good luck.

If it's the stock engine in that Vic, it's not a HO.
