The engine code information label, typically located on the front of a valve cover, contains the engine build date, engine plant code and the engine code. Duplicates may also be found on the rear of a head, &/or the timing cover.

Most of the wrap was removed before the auction, except the front tow point cover, and some scraps around the door handles & taillights.

The hood has the typical corrosion along the front edge. But there's surprisingly little body damage. The worst might be the holes for the grill guard, which I'd like to eliminate because it makes other drivers slow down.

Other than the dust, the engine bay is very clean, and everything works. I'm not sure why there's handwriting on the back of the core support - the vehicle history doesn't show any front-end damage.

Not much effort was put into deleting the antennas & lights. I think the headliner wiring harness was also left partially disconnected (or damaged) because most of the dome lights don't work.

UPDATE: Turns out a couple of fuses were blown. Of course...

Like the rest of the floors, the spare well was littered with cut zip-ties, wires, screws, nuts, & bolts. I'll probably remove the floor-stiffening impact brace, and look for a factory jack & lug wrench.

The cobbled-together engine & brackets resulted in the alternator pulley being about a half inch behind the water pump pulley, making the belt bend slightly.

If they're rusted, or if they break off during removal, use this pro...

These came from a '17 XLT that had been hit so hard that the front passenger door & its opening were obliterated. The floor was wrinkled under both front seats, which couldn't be unbolted. But these came out fairly easily.

The seats that don't tumble came out, as did the damaged '15 Ltd. rear carpet, and the last piece of the floor reinforcement. After the '17 XLT carpet dried, it was vacuumed to remove the last of the hair from it.
