Dead (left-mounted) to New (right-loose) comparison.
9,268 daily driven miles, and 11 Autocross events (~70 runs).

Note the vacuum fittings to cover up the U-Bolt ends.
After all is said and done, SCCA requires a strap between the camera and the mount to secure it in case it falls off.
Keep posted for pics of that once I get it done.

Initial fit up - Front view
I actually had all these items just lying around my shop.
Well, not the camcorder.
That's a metal pipe with plastic end from an old umbrella stand.

Camera Mount:
1/4 X 20 stud.
1" thin rubber washer and 1" fender washer directly under the camera.
The rest is pretty self explanatory.

All painted up nice and pretty.
Don't worry about that pointy soft plastic end.
It sits about 6" behind my seat back.
I will probably find a "safer" looking plug though.
