Remove the battery cables. Negative first, then positive. Cover them with a rag or paper towel to prevent any contact with other metal, tools, etc.

Use a 5/16" wrench or socket to remove this bolt that holds the battery in place.

This is the battery holder that the bolt goes through when mounted in the tray.
