With the new alternator, the batteries read 13.99 volts with the vehicle running (and no accessories turned on). With the old alternator, they only read 11.85 with the vehicle running.

Testing the voltage at the new alternator -- it reads 14.20 volts. With the old alternator, it only read 11.80.
