Insert the new LED to right at this height, then wrap one of the legs around the base like the old bulb and trim it to length. Wrap a resistor leg around the other side of the base, then solder the resistor to the other LED leg. You can get it nice...

The one at the right is scuffed with 200 grit sandpaper; the one on the left is not. You'll want to do that to diffuse the light.

Here's how to do the window switch on all but the master. Positive on the left, negative on the right. Cut the old LED wires just under the LED on the tower, then bend the left tab forward to solder the resistor to.

The master switch. The polarity on the window switch LEDs is the reverse of all the other switches. Cut both LED s off near the top of the tower, then bend down the tab closest to the recess so you can solder the resistor down there.

The back of the climate control unit panel. To get here, remove the radio, then reach behind the ECC and push it out towards you; it pops right out. Remove the four screws that hold the face on, then there are three tabs to release.
