Started off by welding some 1/4" thick plates where the cage points would be. It has a nut welded to it for the cage to frame mounts.. It will be setup like a frame to body mount with a bushing so its not too stiff when flexing.. dont want to rip the frame or body up by having a solid mount

shows the points on the body. same on the other side.

Didnt have much help so i used whatever i could to mock things up..
This was some of the first setup i had for the rear.. I added more to it but later changed the design..
the front cage. i wanted to be able to use my visors with the cage so i designed it around that.
Worked on the spreaders. Wanted to keep the dome light so i worked in that 180* bend.
triangulated the spreaders and gave them a slight bend to get them closer to the roof.. Contrary to popular belief there is a ton of headroom.

1/2" Grade 8 bolt welded to the cage for the upper seatbelt mount.
I designed the cage in 2 main pieces so that i could remove it, weld it up, paint it, slap it back on, weld the pieces together and to the bronco.
