First setup had a spare tire carrier mounted on the bumper.. It worked well but with the 38x15.5 tire slamming down on stuff took its toll on it.

it was holding the truck up here. i rocked it back and forth to try to get off which caused the steel to tear. Couldnt get off so i had to be pulled uphill.

after a long day of wheeling and bouncing around we decided to rip the carrier off.. took a bit but we managed to remove it.

some pictures of the bumper.. Its real strong. i welded my fender tubing directly to it.

the d-ring setup is also really strong.. it actually goes through the bumper and is the piece that connects to the frame.

all 3 holes lined up perfect. IF you have a 92-96 bronco contact big mike for one of these bumpers..

so the tires were kinda big before. .now with the 42x15" tires on hummer beadlock wheels its way too heavy.. so the plan was to turn it into a gas and water can holder.

first thing i did was redo the tubing where the can holder would be welded to. i also moved the hi-lift mounts from the side to the bottom..

they sit snugly in this holder i made out of 2x2x 1/4" thick angle.....

welded it to the swing out carrier.

made this to hold the cans in. got the idea from a member on www.fullsizebronco.com

has a hinge and swings open. when its closed you can put a lock on it to keep it secure..

shows the carrier open and the tailgate down. works pretty good.

Painted them white to kinda go with the bronco. painted the handles. red for gas and blue for water. Was given a set of locks which fit the carrier really well.
