the bronco came with a hole in the floor, but no where to mount a shift lever. This piece of metal apparently serves no purpose, so I removed it and relaized there were two threaded holes instead of just one.

this is the bracke removed, and ready for me to take over.

Cut from 1/4" plate, this will be the mounting piece to the tranny

The ORD sticks came with an 'ear'shaped mounting bracket, esigned to mount to the bolts on the klune. ( This would have been great if the E4OD wasn't soooo long) So I had to modify them, and make a new mounting point.

the bracket tacked together, awaiting the rest of the install before final weld.

bracket and sticks mounted

this took lots of "in and out" measuring, marking, remeasuring, etc and took a full day. But the finalproduct came out pretty well.

heres where the sticks pop out. Getting that cover off was HARD. I dont know what kinda glue Ford used, but it is strong. Ill prolly bend the sticks toward the center some, for better clearance at the knee, but we'll see.

bracket welded up with a small gusset plate. It was recommended that the sticks get some force against them when the tcase binds up. This should hold, its welded ALOT
|
|
|
yeah, i know, my welds suck but it should hold
|

bracket finished and painted. ready for install. The grinder gives an idea of how large the bracket is.

went to pick and pull, and got this bracket and padding out of an F250. im guessing that a bronco will have it too. The f250 was late 80's, and was contoured correctly for my 94

The ORD shifters come with the boot, and a metal "doughnut" that mounts the boots to their bracket. I ground down and bent the doughnut to the contour of the bracket and made a new hole to mount this boot to the stock shifter cover plate.

|
the two "stock" holes wouldnt have allowed a bolt to mount to the plastic, so i drilled a 3rd one in the middle. It doesnt need to be strong, its just rubber

I mounted the klune shifter and ran the cable through the tranny cover plate. The shifter cable doesnt bend too well, so try and et your measurements right.

here are the sticks and all installed. Im pretty happy, but may pull the sticks out and have them bent a little more for better knee/thight clearance while driving.

Im pleased, overall it came out well, has plenty of clearance to shift, and once painted looks good enuf. This was a pretty time consuming project, but worth it to do it right.
