full shot of rear side of mount
how the kolune will mount. uses 60's chevy motor mounts and some 3/8 plate
how it will mount to the frame.
how the tranny will mount. Will use a piece of round tube bent in a horshoe. The tranny bolts are 4 inches away from the square tube
sorta how the horshoe will look
whole front side of mount. Will have plenty of driveshaft clearance without notching, at least it looks that way. Ill have to wait till everything settles on the mounts.

drawn in second crossmember

this will leave room for the belly pan and should sit about level with the bottom of the frame brackets vertical section. i can then extend the belly pan up to the back of the radius arms.
making progress. The mount is 3/8, so I figure only two gussets would be required.
just need to figure this out now.

in the end, i changed my mind and am going to try this. Notice here, the driveshaft clearance in the front. There is tons of room, but would be real tight to the tranny linkage if the klune wasnt there.

this is the back side xmember. This will allow me a mount for a rear axle torque arm, will be the rear mount for the belly pan, and allowed me to mount a stock 205 torque arm to it.

drivers side shot. The rear and front XM's are within an 1/8 inch from the ground of one another.
I ended up keeping the e brake bracket in the stock position (except for 3/8" off the frame noe for the bracket) and rerouted the rear e brake lines to allow for the 4" stretch
its a bad pic, but the 205 hangs down about .5 inches below the XMs
just a series of the stock 205 torque arm mount, that usually mounts to the 78 style frame instead of how I have it.
I turned the stock lower mount 90 degrees and welded this 1/4 plate to the XM. then, using 3/8 bolts mounted it up.
its a close fit, but clears the 205 AND the fuel filter

after paint and before install.
