I guess I forgot how much clearnace the 40's give. Thats a standard 5 gallon bucket with room to spare of approx. 2 inches.

moved the shocks up to ontop of the axle tubes. Required shorter shocks than I had before, but seems to leave plenty of travel.

I cut some ears out of 1/4 flat to weld to the top. These are 12 inch travel ranchos, set for 3.5 of up travel at 63 degrees. I can move the uppermount towards the center and get an additional inch of uptravel, but initial test drive shows I have plenty of shock up and down. i also used door springs for home depot to hold up the E brake lines after the wheelbase stretch

just a shot of the new undercarriage and cross members before the rear torque arm and skid plates go in. Some new sliders are also in the works

I have about 23 inches at the radius arm mounts, and 23.5 at the cross member mounts. There is 24 inches at the crossmembers themselves. It should be enuf with a 110 in ch wheelbase and a coming skid plate

the plan is to build a better skid should I need one after the wheelbase stretch
