drivers side using the stock hanger, a 2" lowering shackle for a ford p/u and using the stock front two mounting holes for the stock hanger. left a good angle, but not enuf lift for me. Im using 6" lift springs.

this is the drivers side stock hanger on the pass side (and vice versa for the previous pic) the holes are a little off, o the hanger is crooked. Otherwise, its the same angle as the drivers side.

lowered the hanger a little (about an inch) by drilling new holes. After playing around for a day, i went back to the original forwrd holes, just one inch lower. The angle is at 50 degrees, and gives me the height I needed.

I tried finding some new "better" perches, but decided that the original cast steel ones were hard to beat. here it is welded with the ORD zero rate and springs. needs a 10.5 long U bolt

had to make this tool to tighten the upper nut/bolt for the shackle

this is why? Not a crows foot, or anything else i had would ork. im sure there is some tool out there I could hav bought, but had an extra 7/8 wrench in the box.

here is the final pinion angle. Its a tad low, but I figure once the springs break in and everything settles, it should be fine. The torque arm is coming next week to deal with allthe axle wrap I am getting.

reinforced the shackle also with some 3/16 plate and some 1" angle iron. It is a 2" lowering shackle for a F150. You have to widen the spring side, and use washers for the hanger side to account for a half inch in each direction.
