Excursion overhead console broken resistors.

One of the 680's fell off just from touching it. The one remaining is attached only at one end.

I noticed during this test of the repair that the circuit board directly behind the errant resistors gets very hot very quickly.
In just a couple minutes it was too hot to hold in this fashion.

I know it's Impossible to tell in the pic, but 2 of those wires indicated by the red arrow are broken. The rest are very brittle from heat.
Those fine wires are the only electrical path in and out of the GPCM, so it's no wonder these things fail.

Trying to get a close up. The goop makes it hard to see what is going on in person, cell phone pics only make this worse.

Still, I'm going to replace the thin wiring with something heavier and see what happens. I think this GPCM can be saved.
