Heavy duty sliders built by Dave Edwards High Desert Off Road. These will be installed once I get around to drilling the holes in the frame.
Sliders will be mounted with 16 1 1/2 inch grade 8 bolts with washers and locking washers.
This is where the emergency brake cable runs along the drivers side frame rail. The slider will mount behind this. The bolts holding the fuel filter bracket will have to be removed and relocated since we will be drilling in the frame.

Towards the rear of the driver's side.
Passenger side frame rail towards the front, this side will be much easier to do than the the driver's side.
Front frender mount that needs to be trimmed all the way down in order to mount the slider flush with the rocker panel.
Remove bolt that mounts fender, then use a 4 inch grinder to remove the metal where the mount originally was.
This is what the fender mount will look like once it has been trimmed down. The grinder made pretty quick work of that metal.
Once the mount was ground off we had to drill a hole further up to mount another bolt. Since you have some exposed steel here, take the time to hit it with a coat of rust prevention after you put the new bolt in.
Passenger side slider mounted and held in place with one bolt. Undo the clips that hold the fuel return line and move them up and out of the way. The best way to hold the slider in place is with a floor jack and a couple of two by four so you can jack the slider up flush with floor of the truck. Our jack was broken so we had to improvise.
Here is the proof. Passenger side slider completely mounted and put to the test. Its holding the full weight of my Bronco the front tire is off the ground.
Once the fender mount has been relocated on the driver's side, you have to unbolt these two nuts that go through the frame to a fuel hose bracket.
On the rear of the driver's side there are bolts through the frame for the fuel filter bracket. Remove both of these, you will be able to put one back on after the sliders have been mounted, but not before trimming the front one off, since it sits right behind the mounting pad for the slider. Here the slider mounting pad will sit between the cables for the e-brake.

driver's side front pad mount. There is a fuel line bracket that runs behind this mount, bolts to the brack must be removed and the bracket pushed out of the way.

Rear driver's side pad mounting, there is about a 1/4 inch clearance between the ebrake cable and the are. The holes drilled here, must be drilled very carefully, preferably with assistance by someone who can pull the fuel lines away from behind the rail.

This is behind the rear pad mount on the driver's side. You must remove the bolts holding the fuel filter bracket on. Once the pad is mounted you can cuts the front bolt and remount the bracket using only the rear bolt.
