I decided I was going to line the whole insde of the Bronco with a roll on liner. After many off road and camping trips, the carpet had begun to wear and smell. This seemed like a good solution. Little did I know how much work was actually involved.

The back seat coming out, I'm still not sure if I will put it back in when I'm done. It would be nice to have all that space in the back.

The back seat is out, as well as the front seats. I've removed the center console and trim. The last of the carpet is about to come out.

This was under the front seats, the was a lining on the floor pan that I had to scrape up to make sure the Herculiner goes on properly.

This is the kit I bought, it was $90 bucks from Pep Boys, and came with everything. Gloves, screwdriver, scuffing pad, wipe down cloth, roller with two rolls. 2 inch pain brush, and masking tape.

Another shot of the inside completely gutted out. There is definitely a lot of room in there.
|
|
|
Another shot of the front floor pan, the brown stuff is going to have to come up before I lay the lining down in the front, for some reason it was laid down particularly thick in this area.

|
Another shot of the front. I removed all of the screws that hold the wires to the floor. They will have to be positioned out of the way when I start to roll the front.

First coat down, in the back. A couple of tips.. Scuff all of the areas you will be covering with a brillo pad or sand paper, make sure there isn't any shiny areas. This makes the liner adhere better. Make sure you have plenty of ventilation. The stuff smells great for about 5 minutes, then after that it gets you a little light headed. "WEAR THE GLOVES"!!!! You don't want this crap on your hands..I made the mistake of not wearing them and my hands have been black for 3 days now. Start with a light coat this acts as a primer, you can go back and add a 2nd coat in as little as 2 hours, or as much later as 24 hours.

2nd coat on the back..This is taking a lot longer than I anticipated.

Got down to the front of where the rear seat used to be. Decided to call it quits today.
