Remove the carrier by taking the 4 cap bolts out and yanking the carrier out by its horns!

I had to lower my tie rod to get better access to the diff, also make sure to really clean the crap out of the empty housing.

There is the new carrier with the spider gears from the old carrier. The only difference between the carrier that can accept the larger gears and the lower gears is the flange, so the spider gears will swap with no problem.

Thow that puppy in there and use a dial indicator with a magnetic base to check for backlash, and paint it up to check for the pattern. Over all a gear swap is pretty basic stuff other than patience.
