Upper rear shock mount. took stock mount, cut rivets and bolted it up higher, after a little cutting. This eventually broke. next several pics are my new mounting.

New upper rear shock mount. two plates are used. This pic is of the plate attached to the outside of the frame.

Inside plate comes together with outside plate above the frame, where a hole was drilled for the shock stud mount.

small local steel shop that had bending equipment cut the 5" wide strips and made the bends after hours...cost 1 case o beer.

Each plate is 5" wide, 3/16" plate steel. That might seem thin, but remember that they come together on top where the shock mounts, thus making it 3/8" thick.

this shows how I now have an eyelet mounting up front instead of the stud mounting.

Front shock...had to flip it due to knuckle under project and clearance between the rancho firmness setting knob and the steering rod. EDIT: flipped it back. Evidently Rancho 9000's don't take well to either direction mounting.
