i found the gas pedal was broken and not swapable. you have to buy the whole assembly $93. I decided i wanted to do something different. I still had some trailer scrap support rails and thought they would work good as pedal replacments. here is the stock setup.

i removed the whole assembly and removed the pin that held the plastic pedal. i then cleaned and painted the assembly. (sorry for the decor it is almost holloween..)

|
|
i cut the metal to the correct size and added a couple tabs to allow a bolt to install it to the linkage arm. i gave it a new coat of paint

here is both parts waiting to dry in the sun.

i put it all together and reinstalled it in the bronco. It looks good and works great. i needed to fix the other two now.

|
to make the install easy and fast i welded a plate on the back sid and a nut to it and then a bolt secures the cover to the pedals. this was repeated both pedals.

here is the completed set. they grip your feet good and look good and easy to clean up. i rounded all edges so they were not sharp. i still need to make one for the E brake.

once i was ready to reinstall the covers i found the gas cable was in poor shape.
