I am new at welding so i thought i was good. but this job proved i was only ok. i cut the shifter and added 3" od spacer rod to it.

Here is the 2nd shot and making sure it was all ready for welding.

Here is the fixed shifter. I added a sleave to the cut spots. i then put a fresh coat of paint and let it dry.

this was the 1st time i reinstalled the shifter.

as i was driving home from wor 3 months after the lift install the shifter weld broke and i threw the shifte at the car next to me on accident. after stopping and getting the parts off the side of the road. i added a sleave to the shifter. (it has been good for a year now)

Here is the final shift lever setup.

The shift knob is glued to the shaft. mine was broken. i took the shifter pattern from the old shifter to the new shift handle.
