I want to install a full cage but i needed a starting point and i saw this roll bar in the local paper for free. it is out of a 1969 dodge ram charger. i did not like the GT bar from ford as it bolt to the top of the wheel well. this goes to the rear floor.

Here is a shot from the rear. it looks good to install.

|
it is 42" high. it looks like it will drop right in.

Well it looked like it go right in. so now it is time to see where i want this to sit. i want this to protect the back seat more than the front right now as i gloing to add a front hoop soon. so to hit a solid seam i elected to cut the foot off the roll bar and scoot it as far back as i could. here is the driver side front leg. (please ignore the other junk as this project was going on so was 5 other things)

This is where the stock GT bar would go but i cut the foot and slide it back. this is the pass side.

Here is the rear leg pass side. (lots of rust on the floor surface. this is how she came to me i going to spray in a liner soon.

i made sure there was room to install the top and install and remove the top bolts. this will be a great starting point for a full cage.
