Here is the drivers side ball joint replacement. Here we are with the wheel in place.
Ok the wheel is off. I was lazy here please put a Jack stand under the frame or front axle do not work on the jack as i did. I have had jacks fail.
Remove the caliper (do not just let it hang. i got a set of "S" hooks and these work well here)
Now the lock outs are off.
ok now the hub and rotor assembly are off.

Here it is without the spindal
ok now the axle and then the knuckle is removed.
here is the knuckle assembly ready to press out the ball jints. I ran into an issue the C-press was not deep enough to press out the old joint and the spindle became bent. Bummer. you can see the long bolt next to the caliper mount this is a steering limiter. i got longer bolts witht the larger wheels.

Here is the steering stop for the pass side knuckle.
Here is the bent knuckle. well off to the junk yard as it is sunday and no one has a new one. i found out there are a few different knuckles for the Ford. one has a bolt to lock the caliper in place and the other uses a sandwhiched rubber and steel lock. I got lucky and found 1 that i needed. it was a pain to remove in the junk yard but that is half the fun...

Ok i got back from the junk yard and the ball joints seemed ok, but i had new ones sitting onthe bench. i pressed out the old ball joints and here it is. waiting for the new ones to be installed.

well as i said i did the pass side ball joints with the c press but this side did not want to work with me. i had to get a new toy (ok -tool) this is a 12 Ton shop press. well worth the $134 it poped out and in the new joints with little effort.
