this was the stock shaft at normal ride height. the stock shaft would have been ok but i i broke a pin in the double cardian joint and i wanted a tougher shaft (don't we all....lol)

after the shackle flip and 4" drop mounts i wanted to put a stronger shaft in place (plus the old on broke in the doulbe joint). the stock shaft is running at 22 degrees

I call to Jessie at High Angle Drivelines got my order in for the new shaft. this was a 2 day turn around. the paint was still wet. great service...

Here are the stock (the smaller bolts) and the new bolts for the new shaft. it will ba alot stronger.

one other difference was the mounting system the old shaft used a yoke style mount and the new used a flange like the newer Fords do. Jessie included the flange with the shaft.

you can see the new shaft flexes alot more than the old stock and it is much larger.

the mounting was different and the new flange was part of the shaft package. now i need to replace the mount.

while i was here i decided to replace the seal on the transfere case. the old seal is off now.

they changed the design of the seal. it went in without issue.

now the seal in installed on the transfere case.
