well the law said i needed license plate lights so i went and got these LED units. (they are blue)

This was going to be a simple install. here is the plate mount
|

Now the top bolts are out.
|
|
|
I then put the LED bolts in the holes wires first.
|
|
|
I then put the nuts and washers on the LED. you can see the LED wires hanging in the back of the bumper.

|
It is hard to see but i soldered and heat shrinked all the wire connections.
|
|
|
I wired the POS and neg on the LEDs together.
|
|
|
I just tied them into the back ground and running light hot. I then heat shrinked the connection to keep out the muck.
|
|
|
Here was the final connection all weather protected.
|
|
|
Here is the final install. these are bright and use little power. i think they will work great.

Here is the final assembly. The CHP signed off on the fix it ticket.

Here it is lit up at night. this project is now completed.
