This i the back side of the 1992 bronco dash. the 3 clips in the middle is where the fuel guage makes its connection.
here is a closer picture of the back of the 1992 panel.
here is the back of the guage. there are 3 pins. 1 12v hot, 1 ground and the signal wire to the fuel tank sending unit.
this is a closer shot of the guages 3 pins. i used the motorcycle battery as the 12 volt source.
with the batter connected if i move the float the guage moves.
if i moved the float the other way it moves the other way.
i had to play with it for a few. i move the float to a different spot.
ok here is the last play picture.. i decided i want to fit this in the stock dash in my 1983 so i want a smaller unit and i going to get one out of a truck with a tach.
here is the gas guage from a truck with a tac. it is smaller than the truck without one.
here is the back side of the guages GAS/Temp
since i did not want to destroy my only working speedometer i picked up another one. this time i got one with a trip odomer and tach i be replacing the fuel/temp/and maybe volt oil pressure gauges.
