on the way to work i smelled a strange smell- i have smelled it before. i then watched this fluide drip on the dash under the head light switch and saw smoke coming out of the switch.

4 torx screws and the face was loose and then 6 plugs and the panel was out. these are the head light/dimmer/rear window latch and the door sensor switch.

if you look closely you can see the oil goo coming out of the switch. think it was coffee or soda or what ever the PO set on the dash as he drove this truck.

i called a few auto places and not many had these or could get them. i called NAPA and he had 10 in stock there were 2 typs a cheaper $12 and a higher quality $25. i got the $25
|

this is the dimmer switch. my lights would not go high/low any more and the on/off switch burned. this was an easy fix. this is located on the steering column
