well the motor came out without too much fight. it is is with my son and I.
|

here is one of the last times we will see this 83 4.9 as the new owner is on the way to get it.

here is the emptie motor compartment. I going togive it a fast bath.

well after replacing the jack on my cherry picker i was able to get the new motor in. i had to deflate the tires to get the motor in and some perswading she dropped in. here is a look from the drivers side.

here is a view from the front. all bolted in place.

here is a look from the pass side. just in time for the rain. this is all that gets done today. next is connected everything and start her up.

i cleaned the EFI throddle cable. it is ready for the install.

The EFI cable is longer than the carb cable. the EFI cable is on the bottom.

the cable is an easy swap. the end snaps off the pedal assemblt and the carb and there is 2 10M bolts that holds the cable to the firewall.

here is the EFI cable connection at the throddle body.

it is hard to see but the dual exhaust bolted right into place.

Here is the front fuel lines all clean and ready to e installed.

as i was connecting the the fuel line i found out there are a couple different line connection types. there is a steel clip and a plastic clip style. i had both on mine and needed a converter, but there is none avalable.

after alot of thought and a few searches and calls i came up with this converter adapter.

here it is all connected. i was able to connect the twollines together without issue.

since i was now able to connect the lines i drilled the front frame to hold the mounting bracket for the fuel lines.
|
|
|
here is the last view of the bracket in place.
