This may seem too simple but this might help someone the 1993 chevy fuel system has a self bleed fuel system so when the key is off the fuel line will bleed off the pressure. to complete this task you need 4 things Fuel filter (NAPA Gold 3481) a 5/8 flare wrench, 13/16 open end wrench and a tall cold soda.

use the open end wrench on the filter side nut and the flare on the fuel line side. there was no pressure but there was about a cup of fuel that drained out i had a drop pan but the rag soaked it all up. then slide the old filter out and slide in the new and tighen the nuts to 23fp. and test for leaks.

Here was the old filter it was a fram part # G3727. I disposed the filter the way my local law said (drain out all fuel and let air perge the seal in a plastic bag and toss)
