This is a Thetford Aqua Magic Potty. it provided many good years of service. it sprung a leak while on the last camping trip. I had to remove it so i could rebuild it correctly.

This is the printed sticker under the top lid.

Here is the working end of the potty. There is 3 13mm nuts holding the potty to the floor. i removed them and the water supply line.

after disconnecting the water supply and the 2 nuts the potty comes right off.
|
|
|
This is the #1 failure part. they are readily avalable at most camping worlds or RV pats houses.
|
|
|
if you have small hands you can swap the part without disassembly of the whole potty. here is the base 7 phillips screws.
|

After removing the screws the lower half comes right up. i had to disconnect 2 hoses and the base is set aside.

this is the supply valve. you can see 2 screws hold it in place. this is a common falure part. I bought a new valve for $35 camping world

The view was just for me. i wanted to have a view of how the springs were connected so if they came apart i kne how to put back (they stayed together)

Here is the old and new supply valves.

here is the supply valve installed. if you undid the supply line and removed the nut and 2 screws you can replace the valve without pulling the potty all apart.

I found a 2nd leake the vacuum break. it is in the tank in this shot. bad news was 2 weeks to get one (discontined gasket) i needed to get a fix now, so we bouth a new Hand flush potty.

My bad news was my potty mount was for only one mounting and not going to work with the new potty. the mount is held in place with 6 screws and glued to the tank.

I took my dramil and cut the flange top ring.
|
|
|
here is the new flange installed. it was called an inside slider flange and purchased from Home Depot for $4. i glued and then screwed the 4 screws and let setup for a couple hours. I used ABS black glue
|

Here is the bottom of the new potty. I instaled the new bottom gasket.

I had to extend the water supply line 6" for the new potty. i got the parts from Home Depot and Lowes.

Allnew pottys come with a spray wand. i just installed the mount on the wall and put the wand in the mount. all done.
