well it was time to bring the old mustang back to life. the battery i had is 5 years old and will not hold a charge and the electric fan wiring was what i thought the best at the time. i now done many fan swaps and knew this needed my touchup.

i had no relay and no inline fuse and used a wire jumper to turn on the fan. there was a ton of not needed wiring.here it was as i started.

i needed to install a constant duty relay (it handles the high start amps better than the smaller ones) this spot is perfect. i marked it and driled pilot holes for the relay.

with the relat installed i needed a battery poer point (the firewall solinod) and ran the wires to the new relay. i conecceted the ground wire to the relay. this ground is a temp switch on the intake manifold and it will provide a ground at 170 degrees and drop the gorund at 160 degrees.

i was able to toss all the wires that were running in front of the raditor and tucked next to the fill cap of the raditor. the orange wire is so i know which side was hot on the fan motor and was removed next.

this is showing the new power wire. this is a much cleaner install.
