A few years ago, I gave a TomTom XXL each to my g/f & to my mother. Both GPSs have begun to fall while driving due to the knob NOT locking in the lock position, so I took one apart to find out why. The outer arms where I added foam pads are supposed to engage pegs on the back of the knob, but the catch clips that hold the knob onto the base constanly compress them so they don't touch the pegs. I used a drill press to add 2 common BBs so the knob REALLY locks now.

Finished & reassembled. Since the base isn't really visible behind the GPS, the small holes & copper-clad BBs won't matter.

Greg's 2nd new toy of the day. The first was a 90s Toyota 4WD on 36s with a blown V6 that cost him $200. This one was free.

Pearce magazine extensions - now 15 shots before dropping & swapping.
These are 1-piece; no additional floorplate, and removing them might be a challenge because the spring now extends past the split.

Water Test
The .40s were fired from ~20' into a plastic 55gal drum with maybe 15gal of rainwater inside. The .45 was fired down through the large bung directly into the water. Its core powdered as advertised.
