The original deck boards were rotten & breaking apart, despite the patch screwed under the biggest hole. After removing them, the frame was pressure-washed. IF THE IMAGE IS TOO SMALL, click it.

Wiring is bad, and the trailer brakes never responded to my controller; RHF brake is open-circuit; suspension bushings are loose; the front axle's U-bolts are loose enough to move by hand, and they're all pretty rusty. IF THE IMAGE IS TOO SMALL, click it.

One wheel bearing dust cap is torn open, but there are solid replacements in the junk box. Most of the spare suspension parts appear to be used, except the weld-on brackets & 2 bolt bushings. The rollover-damaged fenders are straightened and ready to be reinforced. A hole from the bucket corner catching the RHF wheelwell is now ready to be welded shut. IF THE IMAGE IS TOO SMALL, click it.

After welding a reinforcing patch under each lip, each wheelwell was braced. And the gash along the right side was welded shut.

The suspension had to come down for new suspension links, bolts, & bushing; and the frame needed 2 more joists, and a plate where the deck boards will be jointed. Wiring supports were also added, as were some new holes. After a few pressure-washings, a gallon of Rustoleum gloss black was sprayed on. IF THE IMAGE IS TOO SMALL, click it.

After painting & bolting in the axles, the wiring was laid in. The 2 sections will meet just forward of the front axle. The rear section was slit to extract the heavy brake & ground wires so they can be used to cross the frame, where they're soldered to the (uncut) wires for each brake. The left brakes' wires are pierced & soldered to the crossover wires, and the smaller taillight ground wire is soldered into the crossover White. The heavy Blue (brake) wire is soldered to the front section's Blue; the Whites are screwed together at the frame. The Black is so heavy that it's difficult to solder it together, or even tin it; but it's just the battery charge wire, so it's not really necessary. IF THE IMAGE IS TOO SMALL, click it.
