After some work with the dremel from the BACK SIDE, I made a square opening for the fuel door release solenoid to slide through. I used some self-tapping screws into the platic to secure it.
You will need to remove the fuel cap to fit it in/out. I stretched a rubber glove over the openign to prevent debris from entering the tank while the cap was off
