Has anyone had any problems with Stainless steel brakes "popping" or failing in any way? I like the solid feel of the brake pedal after installing them. I now have hear (on another Forum) that there have been several failures. If you know please give details and manufacturer.
Thanks, Richard in Knoxville,Tn

My left front SS brake line failed a few months ago. I was lucky that no one was infront of me and that no one was in the intersection.
I was braking for a yellow light when I prolly should've gone through it. I was putting an awful lot of pressure on the brake pedal in order to stop. The tires were just about to start squealing when all of a sudden the brake pedal went to the floor.
So, yes.........SS brake lines can fail.....they were on my truck for about 4 to 5 years. I ended up just replaceing all of them.
