when i got this bronco the rear window did not work. there was cardboard blocking the back cover. i was able to push on the glass and the window went to the bottom of the track. i opened the gate and found all this rust. I cleaned it up and hit it with some paint to stop it.

i found the wire harness was bad in spots so i made a new one.

after you remove the glass and window regulator and the motor i opened the final drive gear. i found the tourque pins were trashed (this is very common) there is 2 was of fixing this issues now. goto the dealer or any autoparts store and get new plastic pins or do as i did with left over parts in the shop.
Here is a closeup of the bad parts. in the points of the triangle there should be 3 round pins. this help cousion the window from motor shock.
I cleaned all the old grease out of the motor and the final drive. my final drive was fine so i was going to reuse it.
here is how it goes together.
To rebuild for almost free here is all you need. some fuel line and some steel rod or round spacer (this keeps the fuel line from colapsing completely) i cut the fuel line to the height of the drive gear housing and cut the spacers from round stock i had on the bench.
this is a side shot of the fix parts.
the steel spacers go inside of the rubber fuel line.
then the rubber fuel line and steel spacers go in the final drive gear.this was a tight fit but not too tight.
i added new grease to the final drivegear and motor spline.
here it is ready to get the cover and reinstall in the window regulator. this was 20 min to clean, mke new pins and rebuild.
