Hello,

I have a crown victoria that is at 159k miles.

During speeds excess of 60 mph a shaking (almost clicking or plastic creaking) sounds happens in the rear of the vehicle.

It is sporadic and sounds like it's coming from the rear windshield.

It is not the rear light on top of that speaker balcony. It is hard to pinpoint where exactly it is coming from.

Applying pressure to the windshield, ceiling or speaker balcony does not muffle the sound.

Any advice?

Jesse

Get someone to sit in the back and listen, trying to pin point the sound. You may want to remove the seats and get them to stick their head into the truck to listen. Mine turned out to be the spare tire---it wasn't tightened down all the way.

I was actually the one who was in the back trying to pinpoint it. All I could pin point is the rear windshield making creaking noise. I'll check the spare tire.

Thanks for replying within one day, my first post and first forum and I'm glad I got a response!

Wish me Luck!
