what is the difference betwene bias ply. and radial, and how many miles can i put on each,
i bought my 6 inch lift last night.
where can i get a steering stabiler from. anyone know any sites that have 5.0 performance mods. i thought i had a 5.8 but i realy had a 5.0, thanks "those banana and chille are the coolest" |

radial has a steel belt in it, bias ply is either just rubber, rubber and thread or rubber and fiber glass, a radial will give you more milage, as far as the steering stabalizer do you need the gas piston or the whole sway bar?

the lift kit doesnt specify, can u even put a sway bar on a indipendent front suspension. pretty much looking for something to help steer some 35-38 inch tires, and take some stress off the power steering. also what does dual shocks on each front wheel do besides look pretty, are they for all looks. would it just make the ride much stiffer. i am new to offroading, so sorry about the stuppid questions. also if i get 35 inch tires and air lockers front and rear will it put too much stress on the stock axels. also can i even put a locker in the front when it is indipendent.
also what type of suspension is the front, i only know dual a arm and straight axel'ed with a 4 link or 3 link, and of course good ol leafs |

Well with 35's and ARBs you ought to be allright as long as your not a "hammer head" type driver. As far as suspension what kind of truck do you have ? I don't think I've ever seen a dual A arm 3 or 4 link suspension with leafs before |

OK, maybe i can shed a little light on the steering stabilizer question for ya. Im kind of a noob myself, but i just purchased a stabilizer for my 90 bronco. Anyway, your front suspension is a TTB setup, which i believe stands for Twin Traction Beam, which is just another fancy name for IFS. Anyway, it is generally recommended that with stock size to 33 inch tires that you run a single shock stabilizer. With 35-38 its recommended that you run a dual shock stabilizer setup. The stabilizer i bought is from ProComp and is uses a single ES1000 shock, as i am only running 31's( for the time being ). Anyway, it tooks about 20 minutes to install, and all i needed was a wrench and a power drill. it comes with a bracket that mounts to the tie rod, after putting that in place, without fully tightening it, you drill a hole into your bottom shock mount, i forget the size of the hole. anyway this was the hardest part cus the steel plate is quite thick. after that all you do is mount the shock to the hole in the mount and to the bracket thats mounted on the tie rod. After tightening everything up, you check and make sure the shock doesnt bind up and you're golden. Best part is that it only cost 50 dollars, and i noticed a dramatic decrease in bump steer, and i dont get that annoying steering pump whine as much either. I bought it from 4Wheel Parts, it was on sale for christmas, so im not sure how much the dual setup would cost now, but at the time it was $100. Hope this helps some and good luck |

As a quick note, my Bronco (85) came with dual shocks and a swap bar, so yes they can be put onto a TTB setup. Good luck. |
