After!

I used candy apple red (transparent) paint on the backside with the shiny chrome behind to achieve the same pearlescent look as the stock red emblem.

It didn't come out anywhere perfect, but it's still MUCH better looking than before.

After all the background has been sanded off, I worked through the grits then polished with plastX - much like you'd do with headlamps. Make sure not to scratch the chrome start inset

I sprayed the star's background black, and the surround candy red for a unique look.
I used candy apple red to duplicate factory color. Standard black in the center.

It's right out of a 96 CV. Plug and play swap for me, I grabbed the wiring harness as well so it made things real easy. Just plug it in, run the wire up and slide the new mirror on. |Done|! :cool:

The woodgrain piece is held in with a few phillips head screws along the length of the trim.



The '95-'02 CV door trims are held on the same way, but are much shorter in length

I was left with a hole from the old manual recline lever.


To solve that, I used a color-matched push pin in the hole. Works alright.

You can still see the worn area of material where the handle was, but oh well.
